Practical Nurse, Elderly Services, Residential Services, Fridhem - Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue - Pargas, Finland

You will work at Fridhem, a 15-bed unit providing around-the-clock care for the elderly in the Turku Archipelago. The unit also serves as a base for home care and district nursing in Houtskari, and there is a health center located nearby. As a practical nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and responsible for delivering services to clients using a rehabilitative approach. Your duties include basic care and medication administration, as well as supporting residents' functional capacity, participation, and well-being in daily activities. Your workday will also include planning and implementing recreational and hobby activities. You will take turns as the responsible nurse during your shift, ensuring smooth organization, communication, documentation, and reporting. You will work closely with relatives and other parties involved in the care and well-being of residents. The role also involves some home care work in the area. The work is on a three-shift schedule. What we expect from you You have experience working with the elderly and the ability to make independent decisions in daily situations. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment and can work flexibly in various tasks. We value experience in caring for people with memory disorders and current LOVe qualifications, but you can also complete these with us. The role requires a driver’s license and sufficient Finnish and Swedish language skills, as the unit is bilingual. The minimum qualification is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-based qualification in the field, along with a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
