Job Description
As a teacher at Novia, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in curriculum development. We are renewing the content and profile of our education programs and value broad competence and a comprehensive understanding of the industry and its future. You will also participate in research, development, and innovation projects to advance agriculture. Your responsibilities include: - Teaching within the agro-technology program with a focus on animal husbandry - Supervising student projects and theses - Developing the teaching area We emphasize: - Extensive and solid work experience in natural resource management - Specialized knowledge in animal husbandry - Ability to work independently We are looking for someone who has: - A suitable doctoral degree or higher university degree, such as a Master of Agro-Forest, Licentiate of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent - An interest in building an engaging and rewarding education for our students - A desire to motivate students to learn and flexibility in solutions - Competence and readiness to develop and implement research, development, and innovation projects - Good knowledge of Finnish and English - Values aligned with Novia's strategy and principles of sustainability and responsibility. You are expected to have at least three years of work experience corresponding to your degree. Teachers at Novia are expected to have pedagogical studies totaling 60 ECTS credits or 35 study weeks. If you have not completed pedagogical studies, you have the opportunity to do so alongside your work within three years of employment. Salary according to the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences and internal directives. The position includes a probation period of six months.
