Sirin Luonnonmarjat ja sienet Oy offers opportunities to gain work experience and build a foundation for your career. The company is looking for interested berry pickers. You can work with a group under company supervision or independently at familiar berry sites. We will pick up the berries when you are ready. Berry picking is suitable for everyone, as it does not require special skills. Young people turning 17 this year are also welcome. The company needs ten pickers. Blueberry picking is from early July to September. Lingonberry picking begins in mid-July and lasts until early August. It is possible to continue with lingonberry and cranberry picking until late September or early October. Work is done on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm (7–8 hours per day) or until the target amount of berries is reached. The employment contract follows the rural employment collective agreement. To ensure workers' safety, work accident insurance is in effect during working hours. Wages are according to the collective agreement, €10.26 per hour. When workers meet daily targets, they also receive bonuses. The more you pick, the more money you earn. You can earn over €100 per day, and you can focus on berry picking without spending time on cleaning the berries. Worker’s Checklist! The work is physically demanding and requires good fitness and comfort working in nature. Workers should bring appropriate gear according to the weather, e.g., warm clothing, rain gear, rubber boots, and sunscreen. Berry pickers are provided at the workplace.
