Are you the buffet cook we are looking for in Saariselkä? Star Arctic Hotel is located in a unique position on top of a fell, in the middle of Arctic wilderness and stunning national park scenery. The hotel offers high-quality accommodation in spectacular suites where you can stay above the clouds and enjoy the tranquility of Lapland at its best. We are now looking for skilled buffet cooks for our client in Saariselkä for the winter season 2026-2027! As a buffet cook, your tasks include preparing high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes at the hotel and at the Wilderness Center restaurant located about 20 km from the hotel. Your duties include kitchen pre-preparations, replenishing products, assisting in the dining area, and other versatile tasks. You will work shifts, sometimes independently, so we expect candidates to have experience in buffet cooking, excellent teamwork skills, and an understanding of quality kitchen work. Experience in cooking over an open fire is also considered an advantage. The position is full-time and fixed-term, starting in mid-November and lasting until the end of the winter season, March 2027. We follow the collective agreement for travel, catering, and leisure services, with salary based on agreement and experience. Accommodation is arranged near Saariselkä center with a private room at a reasonable rent.
