SISU Project Manager - Kajaanin kaupunki - Kajaani, Finland

We are seeking a project manager to lead a regional development project SisuKainuu - The Direction of Education in Kainuu. The project involves building a cooperation model between municipalities in Kainuu for basic education. The goal is to enhance the quality, accessibility, and equality of education, addressing similar structural and pedagogical challenges faced by the municipalities. The position is fixed-term, starting on September 1, 2026, or by agreement, until July 31, 2028. The project manager is responsible for: - Overall project management, planning, and implementation oversight - Collaboration with municipalities in Kainuu, education services, and other stakeholders - Steering group work and reporting to the funder - Coordinating work packages (collaboration structures, curriculum work, pilots) - Embedding results and communication We require experience in project work, expertise related to the organization of basic education, good knowledge of basic education and education administration, and the ability to lead networks and large entities. Strong interaction and communication skills are also necessary. Experience in inter-municipal cooperation and familiarity with curriculum work or education system development are considered advantages. The qualification requirement is a suitable higher university degree. Salary is based on KVTES, with a monthly salary of €4100 plus possible experience-based supplement.
