Job Description
We are seeking early childhood education professionals who demonstrate a child-centered approach, commitment to teamwork, good communication skills, and flexibility. There is one temporary position available for an Early Childhood Education Teacher from September 2, 2026, to April 30, 2027, at Päivärinne Daycare. The start date is September 2, 2026. Qualifications for an Early Childhood Education Teacher are determined according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), sections 26 or 27, and section 75, as amended. A Bachelor's degree in Education must include professional studies in early childhood education or a degree in social services and health care with at least 60 ECTS credits in early childhood education and social pedagogy. Preference is given to those eligible for preschool teaching (as per the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998, section 7). Candidates must present a criminal record extract related to work with children, issued within the last six months, before starting the position. For permanent positions, a health statement must be provided before the end of the probation period. A four-month probationary period applies to permanent positions. The duties of an Early Childhood Education Teacher include tasks related to teaching, upbringing, and care of children. As a teacher, you will be responsible for implementing pedagogical practices within your team alongside other professionals. Collaboration with families is also important. Salary: According to the Local Government Collective Agreement (OVTES), plus Muhos-specific supplement. We also pay a master's bonus for those with a master's degree.
