Daycare Center Manager
Job Description
The daycare center director is responsible for the overall early childhood education of the municipality. The duties include pedagogical, operational, and administrative management of the daycare, administrative tasks related to early childhood education, development and evaluation of early childhood education, and participation in the municipal leadership team. The director acts as the presenter of early childhood education matters to the education committee. Currently, early childhood education is provided in two units with a total of three groups. Starting from the beginning of the 2027-2028 operational period, the municipality's early childhood education will be centralized at Koivukehdon daycare. At that time, pre-primary education will move to the new school building opening on August 1, 2027. We are seeking an enthusiastic and development-oriented individual for this position. We value experience in leadership and expertise in early childhood education. Good organizational, cooperation, and interaction skills are required. Knowledge of electronic administration and customer information systems such as Daisy and Populus is considered an advantage. The qualification requirement for the position is compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) section 31, considering the transitional provisions of sections 74 and 75 of the same act. The selected candidate must submit a medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract related to working with children within 30 days of receiving the employment decision, in accordance with regulation 504/2002. The position is subject to a six-month probation period. The salary for the position is €3,684.56 per month. Employment terms are according to KVTES.
