Job Description
Shopify is looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to join the Infrastructure Finance team, focusing on financial management of Shopify’s AI infrastructure. The role involves partnering with R&D, Data, and Product teams to understand business requirements for financial planning, investment decisions, business case analysis, and storytelling to a broader Shopify and senior management audience. Responsibilities include supporting forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, identifying cost drivers, assessing risks and opportunities, building financial models, and staying updated on emerging AI technologies. The ideal candidate has a proven impact in complex business situations, R&D finance background, familiarity with cloud infrastructure and AI, strong communication skills, and expertise in SQL and Python.
