Job Description
Are you a early childhood education teacher who wants to influence, develop, and build something new? With us, you won't step into a ready-made mold but will genuinely participate in developing early childhood education responsibly, bravely, and together with others. For us, early childhood education is more than care and pedagogy. It is a societal task that lays the foundation for a child's well-being. We are the largest Finnish-owned early childhood education service provider, and our entire operation is guided by the child's joy, learning, and well-being. Our work is based on communal pedagogy, where play, interaction, and joint learning strengthen children's learning readiness as well as emotional and social skills. Our goal is to intervene early and support children's well-being already in early childhood education. Join our team to build early childhood education that truly makes a difference in the daily lives of children and families. As a pre-kindergarten teacher, you are a team leader, pedagogical director, and community builder. Your tasks include: Leading the team and managing daily operations to ensure activities support children's learning, development, and well-being in accordance with early childhood education law. Building learning environments with your team where curiosity and joy are visible and felt in every corner. Planning activities where each child can be met and heard as themselves. Creating routines that support the development of emotional skills, interaction, and cooperation, and initiating preventive support measures quickly. Developing pedagogy with colleagues to strengthen a supportive atmosphere and evolving operational culture. Actively collaborating with guardians, multidisciplinary networks, and local actors in genuine partnership. What we offer you: A permanent employment contract and the opportunity to influence your own work. A community where participation, joint learning, and pedagogical courage are everyday matters. A culture where you can grow professionally and try new approaches. An employment relationship flexible to different life situations. Excellent employee benefits: an exceptionally broad personnel benefit program – over 90 carefully selected benefits from travel to well-being and everyday experiences, up to -25% discounts, ePassi, extensive occupational health services. What we expect from you: Qualification for pre-kindergarten teacher (primary school teacher, qualified early childhood education teacher). Fluent Finnish language skills. Ability to lead and inspire a team and utilize its various strengths. Desire to make early childhood education inspiring and heartfelt. Pedagogical courage, active development attitude, and ability to think outside the box. Ability to genuinely meet children and see opportunities in every child. Why Verkanappulat? We believe that a child's well-being is the foundation of society. We develop early childhood education based on communal pedagogy, where linguistic, social, and emotional skills are strengthened through daily interaction. As an assistant at the daycare, you play a key role in realizing this together with the daycare director.
