High School Special Education Teacher, Oivallus Project - Oulun kaupunki - Oulu, Finland

We are seeking a HIGH SCHOOL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to February 28, 2028, for the high school education in the City of Oulu. The position is part of the ESR+ funded Oivallus - Teacher and Artificial Intelligence Supporting Learning and Insight project. The project aims to strengthen learning support in high school and university education and pilot the pedagogical use of artificial intelligence to support students' learning, guidance, and well-being. Oulu University of Applied Sciences acts as the main implementer of the project, responsible for overall coordination, administration, and reporting. The high school special education teacher participates in the implementation of project activities as a co-implementer with the City of Oulu and brings a strong special pedagogical perspective. The role focuses on supporting students' learning, pedagogical guidance, and implementing solutions piloted within the project in the high school environment. The position involves close collaboration with the project coordinator of the City of Oulu and the project team at Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Key responsibilities include: - Preparing and implementing pilots and training sessions for students in collaboration with the project team - Utilizing AI solutions piloted in the project to support students' learning, study skills, and guidance - Contributing special pedagogical expertise to solutions, materials, and practices developed in the project - Participating in planning and delivering training for teaching and guidance staff from a special pedagogical perspective - Collaborating with teaching and guidance staff on the pedagogical use of project solutions - Gathering experiences, observations, and practical examples for the project - Considering accessibility, inclusion, and the needs of diverse learners in project activities.
