Job Description
Would you be the right person? Your experience in social, health, or rescue services environments and knowledge of public procurement will significantly help you succeed in this role. Additionally, you are able to identify external funding opportunities and prepare funding applications for preparedness projects. Your task is located within the administration unit of the corporate services, where your supervisor is the Director of Readiness and Security, and your closest team member is the Project Manager for Material and Contractual Preparedness. You will also work alongside other professionals in organizational security, readiness, preparedness, and risk management. As a Senior Specialist in Readiness and Preparedness, your responsibilities include assessing the current state of preparedness of suppliers of material, procurement, and support services for the wellbeing area organization, reporting on the overall situation, and developing preparedness in collaboration with suppliers and other parts of our organization, such as procurement. You will also have the opportunity to identify external funding sources and prepare funding applications to support preparedness. You are capable of working within internal and external networks, building sustainable partnerships, and understanding their importance for your work and our organization. During normal operations and exceptional circumstances, you will support the readiness and security director and the rest of the team. You are a good fit if you have solid experience in developing supplier and contract management and are motivated to improve operations. Since your role also involves identifying external funding opportunities and preparing high-quality texts in both Finnish and English, proficiency in these languages is essential. We hope you can express your expertise in a way that inspires others as well. Additionally, we value the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Systematic work, good time management skills, and the ability to see broader contexts will help you succeed. As a public organization, we aim to achieve unprecedented levels of readiness and preparedness, and we want you to join us on this journey! Become part of our highly skilled and courageous team! Seize this unique opportunity to help build and develop the future wellbeing area by submitting your application as soon as possible. The modern workplace of the wellbeing area is located in Otaniemi, Espoo, near the Aalto University metro station, at Tekniikantie 15, 02150 Espoo. The work can be partly remote, but at least 2 days a week must be spent at our office. The position is fixed-term, from August 3, 2026, to February 28, 2029.
