Taitola hoivapalvelut Oy organizes daytime activities for people with intellectual and other disabilities. We currently operate in Jyväskylä, Äänekoski, Tampere, Helsinki, and Joutseno. The goal of our activities is to support real-life skills. During daytime activities, participants practice regular work and leisure rhythms and begin an individual journey towards their goals and dreams. Our activities are guided by an individual plan that considers the person's strengths, interests, and development needs. Our task is to produce quality content for everyday life, including physical activity, arts, crafts, and expressive arts. In organizing our services, we follow quality criteria that promote participation and employment. Our clients are referred through the social welfare area's disability services. We are looking for instructors for the daytime activity unit at Taitola Itäkeskus. We offer work on a casual basis in June and August. As our activities grow, longer work periods may be possible. Work is available flexibly part-time and full-time according to your life situation and our clients' needs. In your work, you will strengthen clients' ability to make their own choices and develop everyday skills. Our clients may have needs in social situations, communication, self-awareness, and emotional skills. Our activities are individualized and community-oriented, taking into account clients' resources, alertness, and strengths. Your responsibilities include planning and developing activities together with the team and clients. We require: at least a basic degree in social and/or health care (e.g., practical nurse), experience working with people with significant support needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, readiness to participate in basic care, experience and ability to handle challenging and unexpected situations, excellent teamwork skills, good Finnish language skills. You must have vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act §48 and a tuberculosis screening before starting work (§55). The position also requires a criminal background check (Social Welfare and Health Care Act 741/2023, §28). Salary: Instructor salary class G23D, €2762.58 – €3011.25 /month or €16.95 /hour - €18.47 /hour. Additionally valued: diverse experience in disability work, development-oriented attitude and positive work approach, versatile skills in arts and physical activity, multilingual skills, valid medication administration training (LOP + PKV + Billing) is considered an advantage, MAPA or AVEKKI training.
