Excellence and Development Engineer Location: Porvoo, FI Business Unit: OP, Refining Are you looking for a career in an inspiring, international environment where your expertise matters? We are looking for you as an Excellence and Development Engineer for the Neste Excellence team in Porvoo. This team supports, implements, and guides Operational Excellence functions in the production environment to bring benefits to Neste's entire oil business. You will work with the Excellence team in the Oil Products Refining operation to identify best practices, develop capabilities, manage resources, and other operational excellence topics. You report to your team lead. In your work, you are responsible for developing operations through various initiatives and projects. You lead and coordinate significant development projects, for example, the approval of new raw materials for the refinery. You work closely with various Neste functions, including production planning, R&D, and production. The workplace is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, about a 30-minute drive from Helsinki city center. We arrange free bus transport for Neste employees to Kilpilahti from the capital region as well as from Porvoo and surrounding areas. More about the job Your role in our team: - Lead and coordinate in an expert role the implementation of agreed continuous improvement development projects and other projects and processes - Act as an expert/coach in development projects - Investigate the backgrounds of issues in projects and draw conclusions in collaboration with the team - Facilitate workshops independently - Design new, better ways of working/processes, prioritize and implement them systematically together with the organization - Support change management - Create metrics to measure the impact of change - Participate in creating digital tools and their implementation - Use various analysis tools during analysis and operational change phases - Coach and train personnel at different organizational levels in a continuous improvement culture Keys to success in this role: - Technical or commercial university degree suitable for the position - Excellent interaction skills and ability to operate smoothly at different levels of the organization - Convincing presentation skills and naturalness in speaking to large audiences - Good IT skills and proficiency in common office software and systems - Fluent Finnish and English language skills, both spoken and written - Responsible attitude and safety-oriented mindset We also value these strengths: - Knowledge of Lean methods and practical experience in their use - Work experience from process industry tasks - Coaching skills - Experience from operational excellence work How to apply: We want to hear more about you!
