Guidance Counselor Rinnekodit Nanna, Knut and Juniori-Frida - Rinnekodit Oy - Helsinki, Finland

We are now looking for a guidance counselor for a permanent position. The small group homes Nanna, Knut, and Juniori-Frida are relatively new units for children and youth in Turku. We need an enthusiastic guidance counselor who especially cares about children and youth. Our units are located on Pulmussuontie in Turku, close to good services and transportation. The homes have a total of 20 client places. Nanna is slightly more care-oriented, Knut houses children on the autism spectrum, and Juniori-Frida offers short-term care periods. We offer a safe environment where a child or youth can grow and feel comfortable. Our goal is to support the growth of children and youth systematically and professionally. The child or youth in need of support is always at the center, and services are planned individually for them. At our place, the child is primarily a child! As a guidance counselor, you play a key role in recognizing individual needs and ensuring quality care. You work professionally, respecting the client's right to self-determination and treating them with respect. Your work includes basic care, medication, and rehabilitative guidance. You also support clients physically in daily activities. We provide good orientation and various training to ensure smooth work. We expect from you: a practical nurse qualification and registration with the Suosikki register, readiness for three-shift work, social and health care professional card (Kanta security card) or readiness to obtain it during the trial period, ability to demonstrate medication competence by obtaining a medication permit within four months of starting employment and regularly during employment, basic Finnish language skills necessary for documentation and client interaction, a good attitude towards learning new things. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace, where the employment health check includes a review of vaccination protection according to infectious disease law. We ask the selected candidate to present a criminal record extract according to law 504/2002, which must not be older than three months. Our work community includes practical nurses, nurses, special guidance staff, housekeepers, and a service unit manager as your supervisor.
