Security Officer at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport - Airpro Oy - Vantaa, Finland

We are currently hiring team members at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport who excel in customer service and adherence to strict security regulations. Our goal at Airpro is to make security checks a positive experience, so a genuine desire to help and a proactive attitude are important. The role of a security officer is to ensure civil aviation safety. The work primarily involves security checkpoints at the airport, where passengers and luggage are screened before proceeding to departure gates. Security officers also inspect checked luggage, cargo shipments arriving at the airport, and airport staff. The job involves shift work, requiring initiative, willingness to learn, and the ability to promote good team spirit. Friendly and positive customer service is a key part of the role. You will be supported by our airport professionals who handle busy passenger flows confidently. Due to the extensive training period, we prefer candidates who can commit to longer-term employment. What do we expect from you? - At least 18 years of age - Clean criminal background (basic security clearance will be conducted) - Perfect color vision - Fluent Finnish and English skills - Initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to serve customers even under pressure What do we offer? - Permanent part-time contract, 84 hours / 3 weeks - Comprehensive training for security screening duties - Support from security professionals and an inspiring team to help you grow as an industry expert The average weekly working hours are 28 hours. Shift lengths vary from 4 hours onwards. Workdays can be split into two parts. Shifts are scheduled around the clock, including weekdays and weekends. The basic security screening courses are scheduled to start between July and September 2026. The course lasts one week, followed by approximately four weeks of on-the-job training immediately after the training week. A successful completion of the basic course is a prerequisite for employment as a Security Officer. Please note that the basic course is unpaid. After completing the course and training, you will work as a Security Officer. In addition to security screening, we also train you for image interpretation tasks. Salary: 13.60 €/h for Security Officer duties + shift allowances approximately 100 - 300 €/month. Applications are open until June 7, 2026. Interviews will begin during the application period.
