In our Resource Services, you can realize your dreams as a relief practical nurse working in a developing work community. The purpose of the resource service unit operated by the South Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services County is to ensure the availability of staff for various durations of absence in different units of our service area. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different locations and thereby expand your professional skills. We are recruiting three (3) practical nurses for permanent positions in the resource service unit, primarily to cover sudden absences in the social and health care areas of Kauhava, Alajärvi, Alavus, and Lapua. The start date is 1 July 2026 or according to agreement. As relief staff, you may also work in a broader area and outside your own rotation area. You can work, for example, in home care for the elderly, residential services, shift care units, developmental disability units, child protection units, and hospital wards. We value versatility and willingness to rotate through different social and health care units. We will provide orientation to different units. We expect you to have an enthusiastic attitude towards your work, good cooperation and communication skills, strong commitment, and the ability to act flexibly in changing situations. The work is mainly in two shifts, with night shifts also possible depending on the unit. Your rotation units will reserve your shifts through an electronic booking system. You will plan your shifts according to the schedule, mainly in our agreed units. A driver’s license and personal car are required for the selected candidate. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care, a practical nurse (in accordance with law 559/1994 or 817/2015). We require registration in the Valvira social and health care professionals register as a protected title professional. LOVe medication licenses must be completed or completed within one month of starting employment. We take care of your well-being at work through various means. The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of €2752.13/month at the start of employment. A trial period applies during the employment. A certificate of health and a criminal background check in accordance with law 741/2023 § 28 must be presented before taking up the position. A drug test may also be required. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases in accordance with section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory tract in accordance with section 55.
