The cleaning and food services of the municipality of Pälkäne are responsible for the cleaning of the municipality's daycare centers, schools, administration, technical department, as well as sports, culture, and leisure facilities, and for the preparation, transportation, and serving of meals in municipal schools and daycare centers. We are looking for a service worker for a permanent position in a combined role at schools, daycare centers, and other municipal facilities. The job includes maintenance and basic cleaning tasks, as well as duties in the distribution kitchen, such as breakfast preparation, meal serving, and dishwashing, depending on the work site. Initially, you will work at the Aito daycare and school combined site. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 18:00. A half-hour daily break is not included in working hours. The weekly working hours are 38.25 hours. Working hours may be adjusted according to customer needs. Flexibility to work on weekends is also desired if necessary. The employment begins on September 1, 2026, or as agreed. Qualifications include a relevant professional qualification and work experience in the field. Success in the role requires customer service orientation, ability to work independently, and good spoken and written Finnish skills. We value a proactive work attitude, flexibility, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Use of a personal car is essential for the tasks. The employment follows the municipal collective agreement. The starting salary is €2,265.22/month plus possible experience-based supplement. A six-month probation period applies. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract according to law 504/2002 and a medical certificate of health within 30 days of the decision. The employment is non-smoking.
