Job Description

As a Charge Nurse, you will build the quality of nursing care and implement daily development together with a multidisciplinary team. Your work combines expertise, responsibility, and the opportunity to influence the direction of the units' operations. Your Tasks You will work as a Charge Nurse at Björkeboss in Parainen, and at Onnela, Ilona, and Hovirinta in Kaarina, responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of rehabilitative and high-quality nursing care for clients in close cooperation with a multidisciplinary team. You will act as a nursing care expert and daily support for the staff, guiding and strengthening their professional competence. You are responsible for the overall nursing care, including RAI assessments, and ensure that nursing care is carried out safely and with quality. You will develop the units' operating methods and implement solutions that promote patient safety. Your work also includes the planning, implementation, and monitoring of medication therapy in cooperation with a physician, as well as participating in the coordination of unit operations and supporting supervisory work, acting as a deputy or acting supervisor when necessary. Additionally, you will work closely with clients, relatives, and other partners, orient new employees, and guide students. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the planning and commissioning of a new unit and support the development of staff competence. What We Expect From You RAI expertise and experience in elderly residential services are considered an advantage. You work independently, make decisions under pressure, and approach your work with empathy, valuing the well-being of the elderly in their daily lives. The position requires good skills in Finnish and Swedish. The eligibility requirement is a legal qualification as a nurse in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994).
