Job Description
We are looking for a Director and Director AMK for the institutional family rehabilitation unit in Jyväskylä. Fixed-term employment for the summer season 2026. About the position As a family rehabilitation supervisor, you will support families with children in their daily lives. Your main task is to create an open and trusting cooperative relationship with each family member and support a safe everyday life for the family. Your goal is to increase positive interaction and support the development of attachment bonds between family members, as well as to strengthen the parent’s mentalization capacity. It is essential to support a customer-oriented, high-quality, and safe rehabilitation process. You will work either as a responsible supervisor or as a co-supervisor as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and customer work teams, collaborating with key networks for the family. The position may also include leading various groups. The work follows shift hours (115 hours/3 weeks) at 100% working hours. The work includes three-shift work, including evening, night, and weekend shifts. The salary is determined according to the private social services sector collective agreement and depends on the applicant’s level of education, with Supervisor G21 and Supervisor AMK G24. Experience years are taken into account in the salary according to the collective agreement. What are we looking for? The position requires a basic degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or a university degree (AMK) and previous experience in child protection or family work. Due to the nature of the work, a driver’s license and the ability to drive the unit’s car smoothly are also desirable. Customer families may also have pets in the rehabilitation residence. Our family rehabilitation work is relationship-based and dialogical. We expect you to be responsible and brave to work independently in all shifts. It is important to us that you treat all people—children and adults—with respect and friendliness. Thanks to your interaction skills, you will build trusting cooperative relationships with different people and be able to work goal-oriented, flexible, and professionally in changing situations. As a team worker, you are encouraging, proactive, and solution-oriented. We value: Previous experience or skills in mental health, substance abuse, and/or immigrant work, as well as working with infant families. Additional training related to family work. Good IT skills and organization in record-keeping. What do we offer? We offer you a meaningful, responsible, and inspiring job in a renewing and growing child protection expert organization. You will be part of SOS-Lapsikylä’s Ruori, which has about 300 employees, where the child’s best interests are always central. We have a supportive and development-oriented work environment and support our employees’ professional development, for example, through paid study leave days. Your development and work are also supported by Ruori’s electronic learning environment, Kipparikoulu. Quality of our work is important to us, and we invest in it also in leadership and orientation. Our family rehabilitation operates with a multidisciplinary team whose members and supervisors support each other’s success. We offer comprehensive occupational health services, voluntary accident insurance, sports, culture, and well-being benefits, as well as flexible working arrangements. Welcome to our friendly, skilled, and committed team! We enjoy working and being part of our community.
