Occupational Therapist, Children's and Youth Reception Services - Vantaan ja Keravan hyvinvointialue - Remote - Global

The reception unit for children and youth in Vantaa is seeking two enthusiastic and cooperative occupational therapists for their services. One position is located at the Vaahteramäki reception unit in Seutula, and the other at the Viertola unit in Vantaa. The main tasks involve assessing children's and youths' activity possibilities, functional capacity, and support needs. The work emphasizes assessment but also includes direct engagement with children and youth in their daily environment, utilizing presence, observation, and participation. Tasks include evaluating activity opportunities, observing daily life, group guidance, short-term interventions, collecting information on health and daily functioning, network collaboration, writing reports and assessments, consulting staff from an occupational therapy perspective. The work is shift-based, mainly mornings and evenings on weekdays. The role requires good interaction and cooperation skills, ability to work independently and responsibly, interest in assessment and youth functioning, and preferably experience in child welfare, working with children and families, assessment skills, and knowledge of mental health and substance abuse. The position is full-time, permanent, with a salary of 2982.75 euros/month plus possible experience-based supplement. The work environment is fast-paced and requires good organizational skills. The work is primarily on-site with children and youth, with shifts mainly in daytime hours. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, nurses, therapists, and family therapists.
