Job Description
The technical services of the Municipality of Hailuoto are responsible for housing and community services (rental apartments, premises, service area buildings, traffic routes, harbors), building supervision, outdoor and recreational areas, technical support services (property maintenance, cleaning and catering), heat production (district heating), and service area management. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the municipality's real estate assets, support and community services, supervision of property maintenance and upkeep, as well as the commissioning and supervision of new and renovation projects. Your duties include coordinating and supervising the municipality's real estate portfolio, anticipating repair needs, and strategically developing properties. You will work as a supervisor for personnel involved in property maintenance, catering, and cleaning. When necessary, you will act as a deputy for the vitality manager. The qualification requirement for the Property Manager position is a suitable higher education degree in construction (such as a construction engineer or similar). Knowledge of lifecycle thinking for real estate, municipal sector, and public procurement procedures is considered an advantage. The role requires the ability to work independently alongside teamwork, good customer service and interaction skills, leadership capabilities, proficiency in information technology, and excellent spoken and written Finnish. We especially value technical experience in real estate, renovation expertise, leadership skills, experience in technical property management, and project management skills. We expect a cost-conscious approach to comprehensive property maintenance development, courage to explore new methods, the ability to reconcile different viewpoints, and to motivate staff to work effectively. Terms of employment and salary are based on the municipal technical personnel collective agreement (TS). The probation period is at most half of the employment period. The position is temporary until the end of 2026 due to organizational changes and the privatization of rental operations. The employment may continue after the fixed term, with a new job description, or end. Applications are expected to be reviewed in week 24, with interviews in week 25. The decision on recruitment will be made as soon as possible after the interviews.
