We are seeking a cultural coordinator for the City of Vaasa's cultural and library services to handle tasks related to cultural well-being and accessibility. The responsibilities include: - Planning, coordinating, and developing models to promote cultural well-being - Ensuring cultural accessibility in municipal cultural services - Coordinating cultural volunteer work, e.g., cultural buddy activities - Coordinating the Kaikukortti (Sound Card) program - Initiating cultural outreach activities in collaboration with the well-being region - Working with various target groups, especially cultural elderly care and multicultural work - Networking with organizations such as Taikusydän, associations, and municipalities' well-being services and councils The qualification requirement is a suitable higher education degree. Language skills required are good Finnish or Swedish. The role requires: - Experience working in cultural activities, cultural well-being, or participation-promoting activities - Understanding of the importance of cultural well-being, inclusion, and equality as part of municipal services Preferred skills include: - Proficiency in English - Experience working with diverse groups - Experience in project work, development processes, or multidisciplinary collaboration - Knowledge of national models and networks for cultural well-being (e.g., Taikusydän, Kaikukortti) We value: - Good communication and interaction skills - A developmental and solution-oriented approach and interest in experimenting with new methods - Communication expertise In the cultural and library services, we provide residents with education, culture, and well-being services, supporting vibrant urban culture. As a cultural coordinator, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and help develop Vaasa into a more culturally accessible and equitable city.
