Senior Specialist (Technical Project Manager) - Ruokavirasto - Helsinki, Finland

We are seeking a senior specialist for a fixed-term position within the digital services unit of the Food Authority. The role is located in the information systems solutions unit, where you will serve as a technical project manager in an information system development project. This is a senior specialist role, where in addition to project management, you will need to understand and integrate business operations in the fisheries and agriculture sector with technical specifications. The role also involves acting as an expert in areas such as user interface design, interfaces, telecommunications, databases, and geospatial tasks. As a project manager, you will oversee agile digital product development teams. You will collaborate extensively with clients, product owners, and personnel responsible for maintaining existing systems. You will be involved in identifying user needs, deciding on technical implementation options, and participating in various quality assurance phases. You will support product development and compliance, ensuring added value through well-implemented solutions and their interoperability and reliability. You will serve as a liaison between the development team and clients, facilitating smooth communication between business needs and technical implementation. In this role, you will prioritize the product backlog in support of product owners. The methodologies and technologies used include Agile, Jira, DevOps, Java, JavaScript/Angular, Postgres, REST APIs, Kubernetes, GitLab, and RobotFramework.
