Chief Physician, Sote Center West Pori - Satakunnan hyvinvointialue - Pori, Finland

Join us in building high-quality and impactful health services! We are seeking a qualified and development-oriented chief physician for a permanent position at the West Pori Sote Center. The role offers an opportunity to influence primary health care operations comprehensively, combining leadership, strategic development, and clinical work in a meaningful way. As chief physician, you will lead the operations of the West Pori Sote Center under the responsibility of the unit manager, working closely with the head nurse. You will be responsible for the medical leadership of the center's doctors and will lead medical activities by example, participating in clinical work. The clinical workload will be agreed upon based on the selected candidate's skills and the unit's needs. As chief physician, you will oversee medical management and development of operations. Your tasks will focus on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of care, developing treatment practices and service processes, and supporting staff competence. You will plan medical work, participate in recruitment, and collaborate closely with other service areas, specialized healthcare, and social services. Overall, the role combines leadership, strategic development, and patient work. The job description can be tailored to the strengths of the selected candidate and organizational needs. Partial remote work is possible, especially for administrative tasks, planning, and preparation. Presence is required particularly in leadership, collaboration, and clinical work. We expect: You hold a license to practice medicine in Finland, with Valvira registration, and have good spoken and written Finnish skills. A specialist degree, for example in general medicine or another relevant specialty, is an advantage. Experience in leadership roles or strong motivation to serve as a supervisor is preferred. Success in this role requires a development-oriented and goal-focused approach, good interaction and collaboration skills, and the ability to act as a facilitator of multidisciplinary cooperation. Leadership studies or previous supervisory experience are considered an advantage.
