Job Description
The City of Jyväskylä is seeking a communication specialist for a permanent role focused on city planning communication and engagement. The role involves strategic communication planning, daily communication tasks such as preparing press releases, utilizing social media, updating websites, and internal communication in Finnish and English. The specialist will promote interaction and resident participation in urban development processes, participate in the management team, and support other communication needs within the service area. The position requires a relevant higher education degree, experience in communication tasks, excellent interaction skills, fluency in Finnish and English, understanding of participation promotion, and readiness to learn city software systems. Experience in urban planning is a plus. The salary is 3337.73 €/month plus experience-based allowance up to 8%. The role starts on 3 August 2026 or as agreed.
