Cleaning Worker - Pälkäneen kunta - Pälkäne, Finland

The cleaning and food services of the municipality of Pälkäne are responsible for the cleaning of the premises of daycares, schools, administration, technical services, as well as sports, culture, and leisure facilities, and for the preparation, transportation, and serving of meals in municipal schools and daycares. We are seeking a cleaning worker for a fixed-term position in units in the Pälkäne and Aitoo areas. The work is primarily cleaning-oriented, including maintenance and basic cleaning tasks of various sites. The job may also include assisting kitchen tasks, such as dishwashing. Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 18:00. A half-hour daily break is not included in working hours. The weekly working hours are 38.25 hours. The working hours will be adjusted according to customer needs. Flexibility to work on weekends is also desired if necessary. The employment begins on August 3, 2026, and is fixed-term until February 25, 2028. Qualifications include a relevant vocational qualification, a hygiene passport, and work experience in the field. Success in the role requires customer service orientation, the ability to work independently, and good spoken and written Finnish skills. We value a proactive work attitude, flexibility, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Use of a personal car is essential for performing the tasks. The employment is governed by municipal collective agreement. The starting salary for the position is €2,265.22/month plus possible experience-based allowance. A six-month probation period applies. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract according to law 504/2002 and a medical certificate of health within 30 days of the decision.
