We are looking for a skilled and independent pastry chef who can also handle catering services. The workplace is the historic and atmospheric Ikolan Pappila in Kuhmo. The work mainly takes place in the kitchen, allowing you to focus fully on craftsmanship and preparing high-quality products. Employment details and season: - Duration: Summer August 2026. - Possibility of extension: Depending on the situation, there may be an opportunity for a longer fixed-term contract in the fall. - July season: In July, Kuhmo hosts the renowned Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, bringing two busy weeks and an international atmosphere to the café. During the festival, the kitchen prepares not only café products but also lunches. - Accommodation: We assist with finding accommodation in Kuhmo if you move for the job. Working hours: - Weekdays: Mainly 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (within café opening hours). - Weekends: Flexible hourly work according to catering and event bookings (parties, meetings). We expect from you: - Education in the field or strong evidence of pastry chef skills. - Experience in catering, event catering, and the ability to prepare lunch during the season. - Strong knowledge of special diets and consideration of these in the kitchen. - Ability to work independently in the kitchen from preparation to finishing. - Hygiene passport.
