You will be responsible for the overall management and development of subcontracted forensic investigations at RTL. The coordination at RTL functions as a center of general knowledge in forensic science and a key support for criminal investigations nationwide. It combines laboratory expertise, research opportunities, and external expertise into technical and tactical criminal investigation. In this role, you will ensure the availability of the right research solutions for demanding crime scenes and everyday investigations. The role emphasizes an active and proactive approach, following developments in forensic science, identifying new opportunities, and building networks domestically and internationally. You will seek and find solutions in situations where ready-made procedures are not always available, expanding RTL's research portfolio through new partnerships. You will comprehensively evaluate service providers, ensure the suitability and reliability of services, and ensure timely responses to investigative needs. Your tasks include planning and executing subcontracting, preparing and managing contracts, and monitoring their status. You will also evaluate subcontractors' activities and ensure compliance with RTL's quality system. You will participate in developing practical quality assurance solutions that support smooth workflow without unnecessary burden. Your role also broadly supports criminal investigation: participating in investigations, developing operations, and working closely with RTL experts and key stakeholders. You will act as an expert who understands the importance of forensic research and can apply the quality system in practical situations.
