The Prime Minister's Office is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the government program under the leadership of the Prime Minister and assists the Prime Minister in government management. The PMO ensures the operational conditions for the Prime Minister and the government in all circumstances. Its tasks include coordinating Finland's EU policy, as well as the general ownership policy of state and state-owned companies. Additionally, the office provides and develops shared administrative services for the government and ministries, such as translation and language services, office space services, and document management.
