Youth Outreach Worker - Limingan kunta - Liminka, Finland

The role of a youth outreach worker is to identify and reach out to underage youth under 29 who are outside or at risk of being outside of services, assess their individual needs for change, support them through the process, and, if necessary, guide them to appropriate services. The outreach worker performs these tasks in collaboration with a multidisciplinary network. This includes individual work and group activities with youth, as well as network cooperation with educational institutions, health and social services, the Defense Forces, the Civil Service Center, and other parties. The goal is to guide youth to necessary services in a timely manner, accompany them, and build a support and service network for the youth. Candidates should have the ability to engage with youth in difficult life situations. We also value good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. The applicant must be able to work independently as part of a team and a service network. Experience in special youth work and international activities is also appreciated. The work begins on September 1, 2026. The qualification requirement is a suitable lower university degree. Salary and other terms are determined according to the Collective Agreement for State Civil Servants (KVTES). A one-month probation period will be observed in the hiring process. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002) section 3, concerning work with children. Interviews will be held on August 10, 2026.
