As an integration coordinator, you will work as part of the City of Savonlinna's integration services team. The integration coordinator acts as a city expert in matters related to promoting integration and settlement, focusing on improving the availability of international workforce and the integration of work-based immigrants and international students. Integration services are part of employment services. The duties include collaboration with the municipality, employment region, and various sectors on integration issues, with a particular emphasis on strong cooperation with local companies, educational institutions, and the business and third sectors. The coordinator provides informational support to work- and study-based immigrants, organizes related measures and events, and assists local companies in accessing skilled labor, as well as supporting the societal orientation and settlement of work-based immigrants in Savonlinna. The coordinator also represents the city in regional and national cooperation forums and projects related to integration, and informs residents, decision-makers, and the business community about the city's efforts to promote integration. The position requires good organizational and cooperation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and creatively. The working hours are flexible and may include occasional work outside office hours. Qualifications include a suitable higher education degree and good spoken and written English skills. Previous experience in integration work, working with companies, and familiarity with the operational environment are considered an advantage. Start date is October 1, 2026, or by agreement. The employment is permanent. Salary and other terms are based on KVTES. The local level salary for the position is €3,135.85/month. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate before starting work. A six-month probationary period applies.
