Project Engineer, Nordec Oy, Vaasa - Academic Work

As a project engineer, you support the project manager in various project phases. Your responsibilities include planning, cost estimation, scheduling, quality assurance, and ensuring safety in projects. You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and participate in sales and procurement of new projects. In smaller projects, you may also act independently as a project manager. This position is suitable for someone with previous experience in similar tasks. The role is based in Vaasa but involves travel within Finland and abroad for a few days per month. Responsibilities include supporting the project manager (project financing, scheduling, quality assurance, safety), assisting in planning and commissioning projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, managing documentation, participating in sales and procurement, and acting as project manager in smaller projects. We are looking for someone with technical education (e.g., civil or mechanical engineering), previous experience with similar tasks (planning, production, or installation), project management experience, familiarity with contract management and EHSQ practices, knowledge of MS Project, MS Office, and Tekla, and fluent skills in Swedish and English. Finnish language skills are an advantage. Personal qualities include stress tolerance, organization, responsibility, and curiosity.
