We are seeking a charge nurse for a permanent position at the upcoming Kypärämäki Service Home in Jyväskylä. Kypärämäki Service Home is a new unit providing highly specialized support for individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The unit offers long-term housing, short-term care, as well as assessment and research periods. The operation is based on multidisciplinary collaboration, strong staffing resources, and a safe and rehabilitative daily life tailored to individual client needs. You will have the opportunity to initiate and build the new unit and its operational culture from the ground up. The role combines demanding nursing expertise, development of operations, and supervisory responsibilities as a service manager substitute, influencing the development of new operational practices. The charge nurse is responsible for the overall nursing care of the unit and acts as a deputy to the service manager. Tasks include planning, implementing, and developing health and medical care, medication management, network cooperation, and organizing activities. When necessary, you may also participate in guiding clients in daily activities. As a deputy to the service manager, you will participate in personnel management, leadership, planning and developing operations, and leading customer work. We value experience in working with individuals with disabilities, especially those requiring intensive support. Knowledge of services for people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, strong nursing skills, experience in multidisciplinary work, psychiatric nursing, or leadership roles, as well as management studies, are considered advantages. The position's salary is €3,436.87/month. In addition to the base salary, we pay experience-based allowances of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years.
