Job Description
We are seeking a part-time substitute teacher for Mäntynummi Comprehensive School (Physical Education and Health Education) for the period from August 10, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The teaching hours for the fall semester are 9 and for the spring semester 12. Mäntynummi Comprehensive School is a school for approximately 500 students in Lohja. Our main location is in Mäntynummi, amidst beautiful ridge nature and accessible by good transportation links. Currently, we operate in well-functioning temporary facilities in Mäntynummi (grades 1-6), in Lohja town center at Rantapuisto (grades 7-9), and in Linnais, awaiting the completion of a new multi-purpose building and school, expected in 2029. Our teaching staff is about 60. A mentor teacher from our school will be assigned to support you in your duties and help you integrate into our community. We have a well-functioning student welfare team with whom you will collaborate. Requirements: Good pedagogical skills and subject mastery, Classroom management skills, Good interaction and cooperation skills. The certificates should show the completed degree and qualifying studies (e.g., pedagogical studies 60 credits, multidisciplinary studies 60 credits, subject-specific qualifications 60/120 credits). Salary is determined according to OVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check in accordance with law (504/2002). Interviews will be held in week 23.
