Job Description
Kuhmo is Finland's most forest-centric city, known for its high-quality music and literary culture, chamber music, Kalevala, and a strong, communal lifestyle that values sharing, expertise, and quality. The "Value from Circular Economy in Kuhmo" project is implemented from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028. The project's goal is to develop the utilization of agricultural and industrial side streams as part of the circular economy and renewable energy production. The main output target is to activate the circular economy investment program and, as a key result, to initiate biogas plant investment. We are seeking an experienced and goal-oriented project manager to build investments in circular economy and renewable energy in Kuhmo. The role involves leading a broad network of collaborators, advancing the project purposefully, and creating prerequisites for the implementation of the biogas plant investment and later the launch of the project company. We expect from you: - Strong experience in project management and successful implementation - Ability to build, lead, and motivate networks, and engage farmers, logistics, and energy sector actors, as well as other key stakeholders - Understanding of business, investment, and company development as a whole - Ability to move the project from concrete plans to investment decisions - Suitable higher education degree - Experience in personnel and network management - Excellent oral and written skills in Finnish and English - Clear communication style and ability to work with both public and private sectors. This position offers an opportunity to influence significant circular economy and energy investments. The goal is to establish a project company during the project, with the CEO potentially transitioning to the role after project completion.
