We are committed to doing our share in solving the climate challenge by determinedly following our science-based pathway to decarbonize our operations. We find meaning in our purpose: With our heart in Finland, we make every journey better, today and tomorrow. Our values – Always Safe, Customer at Heart and Stronger Together – guide us in everything we do. Finnair Cargo is now looking for Cargo Service Agents to strengthen the Handling Operations Team. We are looking for Cargo Service Agents who are eager to learn, develop, and grow with us in the dynamic world of air cargo logistics. As a Cargo Service Agent, you will work in our Cool Control Center, where you will play a key role in coordinating the daily flow of cargo and mail. In this office-based operational role, you will process shipments using various systems, maintain accurate documentation, coordinate closely with warehouse and airline operations, and manage disruptions and recovery actions to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely handling of cargo. By keeping operations running smoothly, you will contribute to excellent customer service and the reliable delivery of our customers’ shipments. Cargo Service Agents’ work includes communicating with different stakeholders, reporting deviations and discrepancies, as well as participating in the continuous development of our daily operations. We are committed to supporting the growth and development of our people. After learning the fundamentals of the role, you will have opportunities to broaden your expertise through additional training and increasing responsibilities within Cargo Handling Service operations. Depending on business needs and your own aspirations, you may develop your knowledge across different operational areas, gaining a wider understanding of the air cargo business and becoming a versatile cargo professional. We encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities for employees to expand their skills and develop their careers with Finnair Cargo. Our expectations: Previous air cargo experience is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. We are primarily looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, develop, and grow into world-class air cargo professionals. To succeed in this role, you have: Experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, or another operationally intensive environment. Experience working in a process-controlled environment governed by rules, procedures, and regulations. Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills. A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant service to our customers. Curiosity and willingness to learn, as well as the ability to seek, share, and apply information effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Finnish is considered as an advantage. Strong digital skills and confidence working with various operational systems and applications. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are motivated to build a career in air cargo and contribute to delivering an outstanding customer experience every day. Additional information: As Finnair Cargo operates 24/7 throughout the year, this position includes shift work. Shift schedules are planned for four-week periods and published two weeks in advance in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Salary and employment terms are determined according to the Finnish Aviation Union Collective Agreement, salary level 6 (ground handling). You will report to the Cargo Handling Team Lead and become part of a collaborative team that keeps cargo moving safely, efficiently, and on time every day. Working at Finnair: We offer you an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-changing aviation and international travel industry in a culture that drives and enables professional development and continuous improvement. You will be supported by internally highly rated supervisory work with modern leadership practices that we constantly develop. We are happy to enable our employees to enrich their lives and fulfill their travel dreams by offering a wide leisure travel benefit. We also support the health and wellbeing of our employees through our own Sickness Fund insurance benefit, Epassi (sport, culture, wellbeing or commuting benefit), gyms around the Finnair campus and activities organized by our hobby clubs.
