We are looking for you, who are motivated to perform the duties of a school assistant, to join our community-oriented and professional team at Pakila Primary School. As a school assistant, your goal is to guide and support the learner in different stages of the school attendance and learning process. Working with us, your duties include guiding students during lessons and during the school day, individual and small group guidance, identifying barriers to learning and promoting a positive working atmosphere. The assistant also supports students' social skills, independence and the smoothness of school attendance in everyday situations. Pakila Primary School is a local school of about 1000 students, where emphasized teaching is given in physical education and music. In addition, the school has two near-service special classes and two demanding support special classes. The school operates in two locations, 1st-2nd graders together with a kindergarten on Elontie and 3rd-9th graders on Halkosuontie. Your working time as a school assistant is 30h/week. Flat rate salary 1883.32 €, when the working time is 30h/week. In addition, the salary includes possible additions according to KVTES. The flat rate salary may change according to expertise and level of responsibility. The total number of hours for the school assistant can be checked every school year within the school's resources for the school's operating time. Annual holidays are mainly timed to school holiday periods. During school holidays, school assistants and special school assistants can also work in the centralized holiday activities of disabled children. In addition, the position requires good oral and written skills in Finnish. The person appointed to the position must submit a registry extract concerning themselves as intended by the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
