Job Description
SASKY Education Consortium is an organization providing vocational and general education, operating across several municipalities in Pirkanmaa and Satakunta. The staff consists of approximately 500 employees. Sasky Vocational Institute Iisakki has about 330 students in engineering, transportation, restaurant, and catering fields. We are seeking a full-time teacher in building services technology at Sasky Vocational Institute Iisakki, for a permanent position starting August 1, 2026. The work location at the start of the employment is Hämeenkyrö. The main responsibility of the full-time teacher in building services technology is to primarily teach professional subjects related to pipe installation and to guide students’ learning. The teacher is responsible for all vocational modules within the pipe installation specialization, jointly with another teacher in the field. The teacher’s duties include collaboration with industry, assessment of learning and skills, documentation, and guidance tasks such as planning and implementing personal learning pathways. Planning and development work are also part of the teacher’s core tasks. The position requires strong practical professional skills, and the selected candidate must have pedagogical studies of at least 60 ECTS credits or 35 competence points, a relevant higher education degree, and at least three years of practical experience in building services technology tasks, or a suitable specialized vocational qualification and at least five years of practical experience. The salary for a fully qualified full-time teacher is at least €3,089.77/month, based on qualifications, education, experience, and annual hours confirmed separately for each year. Additional task-specific pay and possible allowances according to the collective agreement are also paid. The employment terms follow the municipal sector’s collective agreement for teaching staff (OVTES, Section C). The position applies an annual working hours system according to OVTES. The initial working hours are at least 800 hours, to be confirmed annually. The position includes a 6-month probation period. Before starting work, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per law 504/2002 and a medical certificate of health.
