Job Description

We are seeking a registered nurse for a fixed-term position in our Mental Health and Substance Abuse team (Miepä team) in Nokia from August 3 to October 31, 2026. Our Miepä teams are part of outpatient services and operate at the basic level. The team includes nurses and psychologists. As a nurse, your duties include outpatient care for mental health and substance abuse patients, conducting therapeutic groups, and administering substitution treatment if necessary. You will work closely with social and health services units and specialized medical care, engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration. This role offers an opportunity to strengthen your existing teamwork skills and network expertise by utilizing relevant networks. A customer-oriented approach that promotes patient participation is important in our work. We use the OMNI360 patient information system. We will plan your orientation to the job and our activities together. You will join a professional and friendly work community. We require that you are a legally licensed nurse in Finland. We value an independent work style, decision-making skills, and a desire for development. It is also preferred that you have focused your studies on mental health and substance abuse care or have gained experience in the field. Additional skills in caring for substance abuse or neurodiverse (Nepsy) patients are considered an advantage. We also hope you have completed LOVe medication management skills (LOP, IV, ROK, Kipu1, PSYK1, PSYK2, and PKV), but you can update your medication skills after starting the employment. The position is fixed-term, starting August 3 and ending October 31, 2026. The working hours are full-time, 38.15 hours per week. The position is subject to a trial period, which lasts half of the employment period. The selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 48, 1227/2016). We may invite applicants for interviews during the application period, so if you are interested, do not hesitate to submit your application as soon as possible via Kuntarekry.
