I am seeking active and reliable personal assistants to join my team. I am a woman with rheumatoid arthritis, using a power wheelchair both indoors and outdoors. I live in East Helsinki, about 1 km from the metro station and local shops. I need assistance with almost all daily activities (dressing, bathing, meal preparation, household chores, errands, etc.) at home and outside. I do not currently require lifting assistance, as I can manage small transfers on my own. Work is performed according to my instructions. You do not need to have experience or training in healthcare. The most important qualities are the right attitude and reliability. Your task is to assist me with my daily life in everything I would do independently if I could. The job requires good Finnish language skills and good physical condition. I am currently looking to hire at least two new employees to start as soon as possible: - One employee for a permanent position, with a 25-35 hours/week contract - 1-2 summer employees / substitutes for fixed-term contracts to cover annual and sick leave of permanent staff. Your shifts are generally about 8 hours and can be scheduled either during the day or at night. Some of my employees work only day shifts, while others work both day and night shifts, so your shifts can be coordinated accordingly. Day shifts are mainly between 9 am and 9 pm, with flexible hours. Night shifts are mainly between 9 pm and 9 am, with flexible hours. The starting wage is €13.05/hour, plus evening surcharge +15%, night surcharge +30%, Saturday/Sunday surcharge +20%, and holiday surcharge +100%. The employer is the City of Helsinki.
