Approximately 950 students and 110 staff work at our school daily. In addition to general education, Jokiniemi School offers small group instruction, workshop teaching, and education for children with autism and severe developmental disabilities. According to Jokiniemi School's own work instructions, we have always been a neighborhood school for all children, where each student can learn and grow at their own developmental stage and according to their abilities. Children learn to evaluate their own work with adult support. Jokiniemi School is recruiting for a fixed-term position for a teacher of English and Swedish. Teaching is primarily for grades 7-9. Based on the number of students speaking languages other than Finnish as their mother tongue (S2), qualified teaching staff may receive a salary supplement of 165.20 euros/month.
