Folkhälsan Welfare Ltd is recruiting a teacher in early childhood education for a permanent position at a Swedish-speaking daycare in Lahti. We are looking for a qualified early childhood education teacher who wants to create a safe and inspiring environment for children, focusing on development, learning, and well-being. The position is full-time and begins in August 2026 or by agreement. We are a Swedish-speaking, diploma-certified health-promoting daycare offering early childhood education and language immersion activities for children from Lahti and nearby municipalities. The daycare is located in Anttilanmäki in the Swedish farm area. Together with the Swedish school, we form a continuum where children’s learning path continues naturally from early childhood education to basic education. The daycare is close to nature and well connected by public transport. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for and plan the pedagogical activities. The work environment includes experienced educators and other specialists. You will lead your team. We work in accordance with the Foundations for Early Childhood Education and Folkhälsan’s handbook. Qualifications include eligibility under the Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018) or current transitional provisions (Section 75): a Bachelor’s degree in education (early childhood education), suitable polytechnic degree, or equivalent qualification such as a kindergarten teacher or social pedagogue.
