Assistant Ward Manager, Conservative Department Area Mikkeli - Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue - Mikkeli, Finland

South Savo Wellbeing Services Eloisa is seeking an assistant ward manager for the conservative department area on a permanent basis in Mikkeli, starting from 3 August 2026 or as agreed. The conservative department area consists of three specialized care teams with a total of 44 patient beds. Patients with hematological, neuro-cardiological, internal medicine, and lung conditions are treated in this area. The ward team includes physicians, nurses/assistant nurses, physiotherapists, social care workers, rehabilitation instructors, and, when necessary, professionals from other specialties. Patients are primarily admitted through emergency services and intensive care units. The conservative department handles patients in the acute phase, after which they are transferred home or to another care facility. The assistant ward manager has a leadership role in organizing daily nursing activities, developing practices, and implementing evidence-based procedures into daily operations. The work involves multidisciplinary and team collaboration within the organization and with external stakeholders, administrative responsibilities as agreed, and clinical nursing tasks in urgent situations.
