In the north, work and life go hand in hand. At the Lapland Welfare Area, you will be part of a close-knit work community where tasks are handled regardless of titles and everyone works together. The stunning nature of Lapland, unique landscapes, and opportunities for career development provide memorable moments. We offer space and support so you can follow a path that suits you. The Youth Psychiatry Unit at Lapland Central Hospital is recruiting for a permanent registered nurse position in the youth psychiatry ward. We offer an interesting job in a multidisciplinary, enthusiastic, and training-oriented work community in modern new facilities. The youth psychiatry ward at Lapland Central Hospital is a 24/7, 8-bed unit with the possibility of providing involuntary treatment. The ward treats adolescents aged 13-17. Each young person has their own multidisciplinary team. The ward implements goal-oriented and planned nursing care. During the treatment period, the young person, family, and network are met considering individual needs. Work on the wards involves three-shift work. The start date is negotiable. The nurse plans, implements, and evaluates care in collaboration with the young person, their close network, and the multidisciplinary team. Extensive network cooperation is carried out. In specialized healthcare, youth psychiatry services are primarily outpatient, and short inpatient stays support outpatient care. Applicants must have the qualification required by the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/1994), a degree in nursing or an equivalent previous qualification. We value a developmental approach, good interaction skills, family and network work expertise, and the ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary cooperation. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, and involuntary treatment are considered an advantage. The task-specific salary is €3,016.02/month. The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the social and health care sector's collective agreement, the sote agreement. A six (6) month probationary period applies. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act before starting the job. We follow the vaccination requirements for personnel as per the work and infectious disease law. Apply for the exciting job via the Kuntarekry website by 29.5.2026 at 15:00!
