School Social Worker, Ruovesi and Pirkkala - Pirkanmaan hyvinvointialue

The student welfare services offer accessible support services for the well-being of children and young people. School social work services are part of this package. We are seeking a school social worker for a fixed-term position in Ruovesi at primary and secondary schools. The role also includes working at a comprehensive school in Pirkkala one day a week. As a school social worker, your tasks include individual and group work at both basic and secondary education levels. Your responsibilities include early support for children and young people, providing and developing services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary network. Why join us? We consider work experience in primary and/or secondary education and experience working with children, young people, and families as an advantage. We value good communication and teamwork skills as well as a developmental approach. This is a fixed-term position until April 11, 2027, starting on August 10, 2026. The position is full-time. The probation period is half of the employment period. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act before starting the position.
