We are hiring a TEMPORARY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER for Maikkula Daycare Center for the 2026 - 2027 operational period. The position is in a group of 5-6-year-old children. Maikkula Daycare Center has five children's groups, one for children under 3 years old, one sibling group, and three for children over 3 years old. There are 48 pre-school children in Maikkula during the 2026 - 2027 season. The daycare has a good work community, and we enjoy working here. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, §26), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (§75). A bachelor's degree in education must include professional studies in early childhood education or a social and health care degree with at least 60 ECTS credits in early childhood education and social pedagogy. The salary for an early childhood education teacher is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,864.37 to €2,975.07. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and any other levels according to OVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002), before starting the position. According to the Infectious Diseases Act §55, the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable statement that the employee or trainee does not have active tuberculosis before starting work.
