Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations and development of the warehouse. You will ensure that warehouse processes are efficient and support the company's business objectives. Your task is to ensure smooth supply chain operations and optimize the use of warehouse resources. We offer a versatile and challenging role in a global company. You will be responsible for the comprehensive management and development of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and smooth logistics processes. In your role, you will ensure the safe daily management of warehouse activities by overseeing forklift equipment, licenses, and traffic, coordinating regular safety audits of shelving systems, and maintaining a safe working environment with appropriate signage and barriers. You will be responsible for the overall safety of lifting operations, risk management, and equipment maintenance, and be able to assess and approve lifting plans in compliance with industry regulations. Planning and leading daily warehouse operations, developing and streamlining logistics processes, managing and maintaining warehouse systems, supervisory tasks and personnel development, monitoring the warehouse budget and ensuring cost efficiency. We are looking for suitable educational background (e.g., degree in logistics or engineering that supports success in the role), practical experience in warehouse work within logistics and storage (e.g., alongside studies), and understanding of operational daily requirements in the industry. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (SAP or other commercial ERP) and a genuine interest in learning and implementing new processes. Data management and reporting skills, understanding of lifting and transfer operations, knowledge of forklift and shelving safety, fluent Finnish and good English skills. We value if you have experience in warehouse management (WM / EWM), production planning, and quality management, previous supervisory experience, and experience applying Lean principles.
