Job Description
Join Mynämäki, a nature-oriented and education-friendly community, as a substitute teacher in history, social studies, and philosophy. We are seeking a full-time substitute teacher for Mynämäki High School from August 10, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The teaching hours for the upcoming school year will exceed the minimum teaching obligation (ov 21). Mynämäki High School has approximately 150 students. The school is located in a historic stone building next to the medieval gray stone church. With a proud history of over 100 years, we invite you to help us build a bright future for our school. Qualifications are based on the decree on the qualifications of educational personnel (Decree 986/98, Section 10). Original certificates proving qualifications must be presented during the interview. Salary and employment conditions are governed by the municipal collective agreement for education personnel (OVTES). The position is temporary. In addition to history, social studies, and philosophy, qualification to teach other subjects is considered an advantage. We appreciate a developmental and experimental approach to teaching and participation in the school community. We are looking for someone who contributes to the community spirit and joy of school life. The appointment is subject to a six-month probation period. The selected candidate must submit a health statement (KVhL 7 §) and a criminal record extract (Act 504/2002) within 30 days of the decision. We offer an interesting and meaningful job where every day is different, along with benefits supporting well-being, such as Epassi sports and culture benefits, free access to municipal gyms, and comprehensive occupational health services.
