At Aberia Disability Services, we build homes where each person is treated as an individual – as the main character of their own life. Our work is based on respect, presence, and a client-centered approach. Koivukallio is Aberia's first residential unit for people with intellectual disabilities in Finland. It will open in September 2026 in Siekkilä, Mikkeli. Koivukallio is designed especially for clients on the autism spectrum and those requiring intensive support. The unit offers 24-hour supported living in small groups, with daily routines tailored to each client's needs. The home consists of three group homes with a total of 22 places. The environment is designed to support clarity, calmness, and predictability – key elements for a good daily life with autism spectrum clients. Work at Koivukallio is based on strong interaction and communication skills, respect for clients' autonomy, and a rehabilitative approach. As a home care assistant, you enable clean and comfortable spaces for residents and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities. Your work also includes food service tasks such as heating and preparing meals, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning. Caring for residents' clothing and maintaining supplies are also part of your duties. Willingness to meet residents, their families, and colleagues with warmth, passion for cleanliness and tidiness, qualifications for a home care assistant or at least 3 years of cleaning experience in the field, hygiene passport, vaccination against infectious diseases and tuberculosis screening as per infectious disease law, good spoken and written Finnish language skills, ability to work systematically and consistently, good interaction and teamwork skills.
