Berling Capital is a financially stable and respected Finnish Family Office and institutional investor managing approximately 150 million euros in assets. Their investment strategy covers all investment products, providing broad learning opportunities in stock investing, funds, and startup investments. In this role, you will start from the core of investment operations and operational fundamentals, ensuring the best possible understanding of how an investment company functions. Your daily tasks include KYC procedures, investment research and analysis, executing buy/sell orders, and liaising with an outsourced financial management partner. We actively utilize AI in all our activities. You will also participate immediately in investment committee meetings, gaining insight into decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will grow with your expertise, and in the future, you may take on more demanding roles such as analyst or portfolio manager, in addition to administrative tasks. Main Tasks Initially, your primary responsibilities will include: - Operational support & KYC: Handling background processes such as KYC documentation, payment monitoring, and administrative support. - Investment execution: Participating early in investment committee meetings to observe decision-making, and executing practical tasks like stock purchases in the market. - Investment research and information gathering: Acting as the team’s "information seeker" by researching new markets or targets, analyzing data, and preparing reports. We actively utilize AI in this work and you will develop its use in information gathering. - Community information exchange: Participating in sharing research findings with other Family Office operators in our facilities. What We Are Looking For This role is well-suited for a professional at the beginning of their career eager to learn how investment operations work. We value attitude and drive more than extensive experience. - Education/Work Background: Lower or higher university degree (e.g., business, industrial engineering, or similar). Backgrounds such as auditing or roles involving information handling and acquisition (including internships) are also suitable. - Skills: Strong command of investment terminology (especially in English) and excellent IT skills. Experience with AI tools for information retrieval is a plus. - Personality: Persistent information seeker, open, reliable, and proactive. Conscientiousness and drive characterize your work style. - Language Skills: Fluent Finnish OR Swedish and strong English.
